The University of Florida’s academic record for its student-athletes is matched by few among public universities nationwide.
It will get even better over the long term, thanks to a record donation of $12.5 million, the largest single contribution to UF athletics in school history.
The donor requested anonymity from the school and made the gift in the name of the late Otis Hawkins and his family. Hawkins was one of the earliest members of Gator Boosters.
